Attend the MMTA Impaired Driving Workshop October 29th
Impaired driving can come with a hefty cost for your company but how much can impaired driving cost?
The Maryland Motor Truck Association Safety Management Council is having a workshop on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Snyder’s Willow Grove to help you learn about the cost of impaired driving. Snyder’s Willow Grove is located on 841 N. Hammonds Ferry Road. The gathering begins at 5:30 p.m. follow by dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The cost for the workshop is $40, advance payment preferred.
What is impaired driving?
Impaired driving is the occurrence of a driver experience a reduction in driving performance because of alcohol or drug abuse. Every 30 minutes impaired driving kills.
It is important to educate drivers about impaired driving because it is a liability risks and social issue that puts the transportation industry on edge. Thankfully, impaired driving losses of life and property damage are preventable.
How is impaired driving preventable?
By educating the public, we can help more drivers make wise/ responsible decisions about alcohol and drug usage. The safety advocacy can stop impaired driving before it starts.
