Preventative Maintenance: Making sure Your Bus is Ready for Winter

Title 11, subtitle 22, chapter 03 of the Maryland PM Handbook – Preventive Maintenance Standards for Multipurpose Passenger Vehicles and Passenger Buses – outlines the maintenance requirements for Class M (multipurpose) passenger vehicles with a seating capacity of 16 or more, or vehicles previously registered as Class H (school bus) or Class P (passenger bus).

While you are only required to have your bus inspected and serviced every 12 months or 25,000 miles (whichever occurs first), more frequent maintenance, service, and repair is recommended. This is especially true with winter right around the corner. So if you have vehicle that falls into one of the three categories above, be sure that your bus is up to code before the harsh winter weather sets in.

Play it safe this year and make sure your busses are ready for old man winter. Rely on Middleton and Meads Company to make certain your bus or fleet is prepared for the cold days and nights.
