About The New ACC Location And Processing Rules

On Monday October 15, 2012 The Maryland Port of Administration (MPA) opened a new Access Control Center (ACC) for the issuance of annual MPA terminal identification badges and vehicle decal permits. The new ACC location is 2001 Broening Highway, Balitmore, Maryland. This location will be a one-stop shop for the issuance of badges and decals.

In other words, all new or renewal MPA identification badges and vehicle decal permits will be issued at the ACC Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

No requirements to obtain a badge have changed but processing is slightly different. Now, badge applications will not be accepted in person or by fax at the ACC.

Completed badge applications must be submitted to the Office of Security in one of the following ways:

  1. U.S mail
  2. Put in a designated drop box outside the Office of Security at the Dundalk Marine Terminal, 2700 Broening Highway, Bldg. 97B, Suite 203, Baltimore Maryland.
  3. Attached by email in PDF file format and forwarded to mpasecurity@marylandports.com.

All approved applications will be sent to the ACC within 3 business days after the date received and retained on file at the ACC.

The ACC does not accept cash payments for replacement badges.

There’s a $25 badge replacement fee that has to be paid by check or money order made payable to the MPA as well.
